GTA 6 Characters
For the first time in the mainline series, GTA 6 puts you in control of two playable protagonists — and one of them is the first woman to lead a mainline Grand Theft Auto game. Here's who's been officially confirmed so far.

Rockstar has kept its character reveals unusually narrow: two named, playable protagonists, and a small number of named supporting figures shown as NPCs across two trailers and the official GTA 6 website. Every description below is Rockstar's own framing, not third-party interpretation — where something is fan theory rather than confirmed fact, it's labeled that way explicitly.
The Protagonists
Lucia Caminos
The first female lead protagonist in mainline GTA history. Introduced exiting Leonida Penitentiary at the start of Trailer 1 — her father taught her to fight, and fighting for her family is what landed her in prison in the first place. Rockstar's own line: she's "learned her lesson — only smart moves from here," and wants the good life her mother always dreamed of.
Jason Duval
An Army veteran — the first confirmed military-background protagonist in the series — who grew up around "grifters and crooks" and now works with local drug runners in Leonida. Rockstar's description: "Jason wants an easy life, but things just keep getting harder."
Together, Rockstar has explicitly framed the pair as a "Bonnie and Clyde"-style criminal couple — full background in our Story section.
Supporting Cast
Beyond Jason and Lucia, Rockstar has officially named several supporting characters through the GTA 6 website and trailers, shown so far only as NPCs: Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan Priest, Raul Bautista, Brian Heder, and the duo known as "Real Dimez." Full individual profiles will publish as more is confirmed about each one's role.
Antagonists
Not yet revealed
Rockstar hasn't named or shown a clear antagonist for GTA 6. The "criminal conspiracy" Jason and Lucia get pulled into implies opposition of some kind, but who's actually behind it hasn't been confirmed — we won't guess.
