Not officially confirmed
No GTA 6 Online mode, release timeline, or feature set has been announced by Rockstar. Everything on this page distinguishes what's confirmed from what's reasonably expected based on the series' history.

What's Officially Confirmed
Rockstar's official GTA 6 announcements to date have focused entirely on the single-player story starring Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. No press release, trailer, or store listing has detailed a multiplayer or "GTA 6 Online" component specifically.
What's Reasonably Expected
GTA Online has been one of the most commercially successful live-service products in gaming, built on top of GTA 5 — Take-Two has repeatedly cited it in investor communications as a major, ongoing revenue driver. Given that track record, industry observers widely expect some form of online mode to accompany GTA 6, likely detailed closer to or after launch. That expectation is reasonable, but it is not a Rockstar confirmation, and no details exist to responsibly report.
Crossplay
Not confirmed. GTA 6 launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only, and Rockstar hasn't stated whether any online component — if one exists — would support cross-platform play between them.
