GTA 6 on PC: What's Actually Confirmed

A PC version has not been announced. Here's Rockstar's real track record on PC releases, and what that does and doesn't tell us.

Not officially confirmed

Rockstar has not announced a PC version of GTA 6, a release window for one, or any system requirements. Everything below the confirmed facts is historical pattern and public expectation, clearly labeled as such — not a leak, and not a promise.

What's Officially Confirmed

GTA 6 launches November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar has made no statement about a PC release — not a confirmation, not a denial, not a timeline. Full console platform detail is on the Platforms hub.

Rockstar's PC Release History

Rockstar has never launched a mainline GTA game on PC simultaneously with consoles — every one has followed months later. This is real, documented pattern, not a prediction about GTA 6 specifically:

GTA IV

Consoles Apr 2008 → PC Dec 2008 (~7 months)

GTA V

Consoles Sep 2013 → PC Apr 2015 (~19 months)

Red Dead Redemption 2

Consoles Oct 2018 → PC Nov 2019 (~13 months)

Based on this pattern alone, a PC release sometime after the November 2026 console launch would be consistent with Rockstar's history — but this is an inference from past behavior, not an official timeline. Rockstar has given no date.

System Requirements

No GTA 6 system requirements exist yet — they can't, since no PC version has been confirmed. Any "expected GTA 6 requirements" you see listed elsewhere with specific CPU or GPU models are invented, not sourced from Rockstar. We won't publish guessed numbers here.

For real historical context, GTA 5's official minimum PC requirements (2015, via Rockstar's own support page) were: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 / AMD Phenom 9850 CPU, 4GB RAM, NVIDIA 9800 GT / AMD HD 4870 GPU, and 72GB storage. GTA 6 will demand meaningfully more than an 11-year-old baseline — but by how much is not something anyone can honestly state yet.
