GTA 6 Gameplay Features

The Gameplay pillar covers what's visible across both trailers in general; this page goes system by system — Core Mechanics, Combat, Heists, Money & Economy, Customization, and Driving & Vehicle Physics — using the same honest standard throughout.

Same standard as the Gameplay pillar

Nothing below is sourced from leaked footage or "reportedly" reporting. Where a system has real, visible trailer evidence, that's stated plainly. Where it doesn't, that's an Empty State — not a guess.

Core Mechanics

Not yet detailed

Rockstar hasn't published a gameplay-mechanics trailer, so fundamentals like movement, interaction, and core controls haven't been explained.

Combat

Weapons and hand-to-hand confrontation both appear on screen across the two trailers — that part is real. How the combat system actually works (aiming, cover, damage, or anything else mechanical) hasn't been explained by Rockstar.

Heists

Trailer footage shows Jason and Lucia robbing stores together, and heists have been a series signature since GTA V — reasonable to expect some form of them here too. No heist structure, planning system, or crew mechanics have been confirmed for GTA 6 specifically.

Money & Economy

Not yet detailed

Nothing has been confirmed about how the in-game economy works. See our Guides hub for why we won't publish speculative "best money method" content before launch.

Customization

Official screenshots and trailer footage show character outfits and visibly modified vehicles, along with mod shop signage in the world. A formal customization system — what's upgradable, how deep it goes — hasn't been detailed. Full vehicle context is on our Vehicles hub.

Driving & Vehicle Physics

A wide range of vehicles — cars, motorcycles, boats — appear in motion throughout both trailers. Handling, physics, and anything mechanical about how driving actually feels hasn't been discussed by Rockstar.
