GTA 6 Gameplay

Rockstar has not published a dedicated gameplay trailer for GTA 6 — both trailers released so far are story and character focused. Here's what's actually visible on screen across them, and an honest account of what's still genuinely unknown.

What "Gameplay" Will Cover Here

As GTA 6 gets closer to launch, this section is where we'll break down core mechanics, combat, driving, heists, the in-game economy, and customization — the systems that actually make up how the game plays. Most GTA 6 "gameplay features confirmed" articles you'll find elsewhere blend real trailer footage with leaked build footage and speculation reported as fact. We don't do that here: anything below that isn't directly visible in an official trailer or stated on Rockstar's own site is left out, not guessed at.

What's Actually Been Shown

Across both trailers, you can see a variety of vehicles — cars, motorcycles, and boats among them — in motion, weapons used during robbery and action sequences, and glimpses of hand-to-hand confrontation. Jason and Lucia are also shown in a range of everyday environments: a boxing gym, nightclubs, and driving through Vice City. None of this has been broken down by Rockstar into an explained "system" — it's what's visible on screen, nothing more.

Why this page looks different from other GTA 6 sites

You'll see confident claims elsewhere about weapon wheels, carry limits, and RDR2-style abilities. Those originate from leaked footage and community analysis, not an official Rockstar reveal — so we don't present them as confirmed here. If you want that kind of speculative coverage, our News section labels rumors clearly when we do cover them; this page sticks to what Rockstar has actually shown.

Core Systems

Combat

Weapons and melee confrontations appear in both trailers, but Rockstar hasn't explained how the combat system itself actually works.

Heists

A franchise signature since GTA V — the trailers show Jason and Lucia robbing stores together, but no heist structure has been detailed.

Money & Economy

Nothing has been confirmed about how the in-game economy works. We won't publish speculative "best money method" content before launch.

Customization

Official screenshots have shown character outfits and vehicle variety, but a customization system hasn't been formally detailed yet.
